Here's to finding the lost

I have a poor memory and the internet is falling apart. I lose links and videos and songs if I don’t keep track of them or put them away in digital boxes to comb through later. One of these Lost Ones was a folk song that inspired one of my very playlists.

Can you hear the Moldy Peaches in my voice collects folksie often ukulele-based songs which remind me of the energy The Moldy Peaches were giving off when they wrote Anyone Else But You.

Actually I’m thinking more specifically of the Elliot Page Michael Cera cover thereof.

The song that inspired the playlist name had been lost to me for years! I could swear it had exactly those words as lyrics but searching through spotify and google was no help. I have taken to listening through my catalog of liked songs on spotify to try and find hidden gems that I haven’t heard in a bit and lo and behold!!! this song pops up.

Cliché Movie by Avery Springer (Who may have gone by Elton John Cena)

A triumph for forgetting and rediscovering! Mystery plague me no more! My headphones are on and I’ve got my song.

One final note of tragedy plays along. Avery Springer apparently lead the band Retirement Party, but the group has since then disbanded. Oh Woe! Check them out too!
